Design Direction

You don't need more options. You need a direction.

Something isn't working.

Maybe it's the room you've rearranged seventeen times.

Maybe it's the wardrobe full of individually lovely things that collectively refuse to cooperate.

You don't necessarily need a large design project.

You need an experienced eye, focused attention and someone who can cut through the noise.

That's Design Direction.

Does this sound familiar?

"I've been gathering ideas for months. I'm now more confused than when I started."

“We both have excellent taste. Unfortunately, it's completely different.”

“I know what I don't like. Does that help?”

“I want to introduce more colour. I'm just not sure I can be trusted.”

“One of us thinks it needs replacing. The other one is emotionally attached.”

“I've got plenty of lovely things. Why doesn't any of it work?”

“Can you just come over and tell me what's wrong?”

“I keep buying things I love. They just don't seem to love each other.”

Where do you need design direction?

Space Direction

For a room or area of your home that isn't quite working.

We'll look at how it functions, how it feels, what you already own and where change will make the biggest difference.

Depending on your needs, we might explore layout, colour, furniture, lighting, artwork, textiles, materials, styling and the pieces you already own that deserve another chance before being banished to Facebook Marketplace.

You'll leave knowing what to concentrate on and, equally importantly, what you can stop worrying about.

Wardrobe Direction

For a wardrobe that no longer makes getting dressed particularly easy.

We'll look at your lifestyle, career, personal style and current wardrobe to identify what works, what doesn't and what's genuinely missing.

Depending on your needs, we might explore personal style, wardrobe gaps, outfit combinations, organisation, colour, proportion, professional dressing and future purchases.

The aim isn't to persuade you to buy an entirely new wardrobe.

Quite the opposite.

Some garments may discover they've been living rent-free for years.

I'm currently opening a limited number of Direction Sessions for

$595

as I build a new collection of Lisa Galvin Design case studies.

A little less investment for you. A little more evidence for me. Everybody leaves better dressed.

Why start here?

Because sometimes the most valuable part of hiring a designer or stylist is simply having someone experienced say:

This is the problem.

This is what matters.

This is what I'd do next.

For busy people, that's not a small thing.

It's several weekends of research and indecision quietly returned to your life.

What happens next?

Your Direction Session may be all you need.

If it uncovers something larger, I can continue with you through a more comprehensive Interior Design or Personal Styling service.

No obligation to turn a small problem into A Grand Project.

We start with what you actually need.
