Residential & Retail Environments

I design spaces that do more than look good. They work, sell, support and elevate the way people move through them.

From private homes to retail environments, my approach is consistent. Create spaces that feel cohesive, intentional and effortless to experience, even when a lot of thinking sits behind them.

Whether you are renovating, building or launching something new, I bring clarity to the process and confidence to every decision.

What I Do

I translate your vision, brand or lifestyle into a space where everything clicks, visually, practically and commercially where it needs to.

This includes

  • Defining a clear design direction

  • Preparing documents that communicate design intent to all stakeholders

  • Refining layouts and spatial flow

  • Selecting materials, finishes and colour palettes

  • Designing custom joinery and built elements

  • Layering furniture, lighting and styling

For retail and commercial spaces, this also extends to how people move, interact and engage. A well-designed space should do more than look good. It should perform.

Materiality

Materiality is the heartbeat of every space.
It is what people see, touch and remember.

I use it to create environments that feel considered, functional and engaging to live in or move through.

Colour
& Texture

Colour and texture shape the mood of a space.

Through layered materials, tonal variation and contrast, I create interiors that feel rich, balanced and visually engaging. Never flat or predictable.

Sustainability
& Longevity

Good design should last. I prioritise quality materials, thoughtful sourcing and design decisions that stand the test of time, both in residential settings and high-use commercial environments.

The focus is on fewer replacements and better long-term outcomes.

Sentiment
& Story

The most compelling spaces have a sense of story.

In residential projects, I incorporate antiques and meaningful pieces to create depth and authenticity. In retail, this becomes brand expression, using materials and layout to shape an environment that feels distinct and considered.

Documentation
& Detail

A strong concept is only part of the process. Clear communication is what brings it to life.

I produce detailed drawings, specifications and schedules that act as a key communication tool across the entire project. Builders, joiners and suppliers can interpret the design with precision, reducing ambiguity and keeping everything aligned from concept through to completion.

This level of detail ensures the finished space reflects the original intent.

How I Work

I guide you through the design process with clarity, structure and a sense of ease.

No endless options. No decision fatigue. I curate and refine, presenting selections that align with your space, your goals and the overall vision.

With a background in joinery and shopfitting, I design with a strong understanding of construction and installation. Every idea is designed with construction reality in mind – beautiful on paper and buildable in practice.

Where I Add Value

Clients come to me when

  • They feel overwhelmed by choices or direction

  • Their space lacks cohesion or impact

  • They want a more elevated and intentional result

  • They are investing in a home or business and want to get it right

  • They have overdosed on white and are unsure how to reintroduce colour with confidence

I bring structure, experience and a trained eye so you can move forward with confidence and enjoy the process.
